Able 2 See

Okay, let me explain why my blog page is entitled “Able 2 See.”

I like being able to see.  It’s one of my favorite senses.  Ever since elementary school, I’ve needed glasses or contacts because of not being able to see far away.  I’ve always hated that.  I would love 20/20 vision and nothing is impossible for God so I believe my healing will manifest, but until then I currently wear contacts.

When I don’t sleep in my contacts (which I shouldn’t), one of the first things I do when I wake up is put my contacts in.  Nothing can stop me.  I’m determined to be able to see that day.  Sometimes putting my contacts in burns or they won’t cooperate.  I’ve put them in inside out before and sometimes they even come back out, but that doesn’t stop me.  Not once have I ever said I just won’t see today because my contacts are acting up so I quit.  No, I fight to the finish.  If I end up ripping them, I immediately grab another pair.  Now that is determination.

One morning as I was going through this routine I realized with the same fervor I want to see naturally I should be that determined to spend time with God everyday so I can see that much clearer spiritually.  Sometimes it doesn’t take much for me to forego my Bible study and prayer time.  I overslept, I don’t feel good, I can’t find my paper and pencil, I got stuck on the phone, all excuses that have kept me from seeking the kingdom of God first.

The same determination I use to get that contact in I need to use to spend time with my heavenly father so I will be ABLE 2 SEE!
